Tooling
We design injection and blow moulds, have them built by qualified suppliers in Romania and China, and then look after them for as long as the part runs. More than 220 tools are in our custody and maintenance today.
How a tool gets made
- 1. We take your part and design the mould around it — gating, cooling, ejection, cycle time
- 2. We place the build with a qualified toolmaker, in Romania or in China, depending on lead time and budget
- 3. We run the first samples on our own presses and submit them with the documentation
- 4. Once it is approved, the tool stays here and we maintain it for the life of the part
Two supply routes is a deliberate choice, not a compromise. A Romanian toolmaker is faster and easier to stand next to; a Chinese one can be half the price on a simple tool. We tell you which one your part wants and why.
Custody and maintenance
Most of the tools here belong to our customers. We store them, service them, repair damage, and modify them when the part changes. Tools that came from someone else's moulder are welcome — we take over a fair number of those.
- Preventive maintenance on a schedule, not after a failure
- Repair and modification, including cavity changes
- Transfer of tooling from another moulder, with re-qualification
- Storage in our halls, tracked part by part
